Z Pong

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 5, 2026

Z Pong collects no personal data, keeps no accounts of its own, and runs no servers — we store nothing about you and have nothing to sell or share. Its one online feature, playing a friend over the internet, runs on Apple's Game Center (governed by Apple's own privacy policy): during an online match your Game Center nickname and paddle movements pass between you and your opponent through Game Center, and Z Pong keeps none of it once the match ends.

What we collect

Nothing. Z Pong has no accounts of its own, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking of any kind. We do not gather usage data, device identifiers, location, contacts, or any other information about you.

Playing a friend online uses Apple's Game Center, which is part of iOS and signed in with your Apple Account. Game Center is an Apple service, covered by Apple's Privacy Policy rather than ours — Apple handles the matchmaking and your Game Center profile. Z Pong draws on Game Center in two moments, and keeps none of it: before a match, with your permission, it asks Game Center for your friends list — their nicknames and avatars — to show on the invite screen so you can choose who to play; and during a match, it uses your Game Center nickname to connect you to your opponent and show each player's nickname. In both cases the information comes from and stays within Apple's Game Center — Z Pong never sends it to a server of ours, stores it, or shares it outside Game Center.

Data stored on your device

Your settings — such as your chosen difficulty, sound preference, tilt sensitivity, optional display name, and your best win streak — are saved locally on your iPhone using the system's standard preferences storage. This information never leaves your device and is never sent to us or anyone else. Deleting the app removes it.

Playing with a friend

Z Pong has two ways to play another person, and neither sends your data to us.

Friend Nearby (Bluetooth). Connects your iPhone directly to another nearby iPhone over Bluetooth for a two-player match. This connection is peer-to-peer and stays entirely between the two devices in the room — no game data passes through us, and there is no internet server involved. The only information exchanged is what's needed to play the match (such as paddle movement and the optional display name you set), and it is not retained after the match ends.

Friend Online (Game Center). Uses Apple's Game Center to connect you with a friend you invite over the internet. Game Center is Apple's service and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. The match runs through Apple's Game Center connection — not through any server of ours, because we don't operate one. Your Game Center nickname is shown to the person you're playing, and the only other information exchanged is what's needed to play the match (such as paddle movement). Z Pong keeps none of it after the match ends.

Children's privacy

Z Pong is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children. Because online play uses Apple's Game Center, you can limit or turn off online multiplayer and friend features for a child in iOS Settings under Screen Time › Content & Privacy Restrictions.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date above.
